The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut announced plans for an outlet mall at Foxwoods Resort Casino in February 2012 but there's been several delays with the $120 million project.

Groundbreaking on the Tanger Outlets Foxwoods was expected earlier this year. A source told The New London Day in March that the project was "shovel ready."

But the chief executive of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, the tribe's partner, says there will be another delay. The groundbreaking is expected "by the end of the year," The Hartford Courant reported.
