The Massachusetts Gaming Commission meets today to make a crucial decision that will affect the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe.

The tribe is pursuing a casino in the southeastern part of the state. But members of the commission might open up the region to non-Indian bidders if they don't think the tribe has made significant progress.

The commission meets at 1pm Eastern time.
