The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe included a second site in its Class III gaming compact with the state of Massachusetts.

But Chairman Cedric Cromwell said the tribe isn't in talks to acquire the Silver City Galleria and doesn't have an interest in the site. He said the land was included in the compact in case plans change for the existing casino location in the city of Taunton.

The city, nevertheless, wants to ensure it receives additional compensation should the casino site change. The tribe is taking up the matter at a council meeting tonight, The Cape Cod Times reported.
