Tribal casino revenue in New York fell nearly 3 percent in 2011, the largest percentage drop in the nation, according to Casino
City’s Indian Gaming Industry Report.
The Oneida Nation, the Seneca Nation and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe operate casinos in upstate and western New York.
Their facilities brought in $921.4 million in revenues, down from $946 million in 2010, the report said.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) wants to expand non-Indian gaming. Figures from the New York State Gaming Commission show strong returns for existing slot machine facilities.
