The former chairman of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians is opposing his tribe's plans for a second casino in Michigan.

Ken Harrington, who was recalled from office in 2011, told the Mackinaw City Village Council that the tribe made bad financial decisions at the Odawa Casino Resort. He said projections for the second casino are off base.

"This tribal citizen is opposed to ignorant borrowing," Harrington told the council, The Cheboygan Press reported. "This tribal citizen is skeptical to tribal council projections."

The tribe's Class III gaming compact authorizes two casinos.
