The Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations says Internet gaming is here to stay.
The FSIN isn't involved with an online casino just launched by the White Bear First
Nations. But the group says the province should prepare for a new era of gaming.
"We need to ensure Saskatchewan's gaming industry is prepared for this emerging competitor," FSIN Chief Perry Bellegarde said in a press release, according to news reports. "First Nations and the province have history working together in developing a strong gaming industry. We can do the same with online gaming."
The online version of the Northern Bear Casino is facing an investigation.
