Piestewa service to take place in Tuba City
FRIDAY, APRIL 11, 2003
A memorial service will be held for Lori Piestewa, a member of the Hopi Tribe of Arizona, who was killed in action in Iraq.
The four-hour service will take place at the Tuba City High School in Tuba City. Gov. Janet Napolitano and Rep. Rick Renzi (R-Ariz.) will speak, The Arizona Republic reported.
Piestewa was killed when her Army unit was ambushed March 23 in southern Iraq.
