Connecticut's two federally-recognized both reported increases in slot machine revenues for the month of April.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation saw $40.7 million in
slot revenues at the Foxwoods
Resort Casino. That represents a 5 percent increase from April 2015.
The Mohegan Tribe reported nearly $51 million from slots at the Mohegan Sun.
That's an increase of about 3 percent from last year.
The tribes are working together in hopes of opening a new casino but they have indicated that they won't select a host community until next year. The goal is to address competition from neighboring Massachusetts.
