The Bear River Band of California broke ground on Tuesday on a multi-purpose center next to its
casino.
The 23,000 square-foot Bear River Recreation Center will function as a gym and activity center during the day. At night, it will become a venue for
entertainment and concert events for the neighboring Bear River Casino Hotel.
“This just allows us more flexibility, another option and, like I said, bigger and better," operations manager Matthew Mattson told KRCR.
Construction will take about a year so the facility will open sometime next summer.
