"The Kialegee Tribal Town might someday prevail and open its Red Clay Casino in Broken Arrow. That, however, is far from a certainty - this is uncharted legal territory - and even if the tribe does win it will have stepped over a lot of bodies to get to the finish line.
The casino, sited in a famously conservative community, is an unwelcome intruder. A petition, signed by 10,000 residents, as well as angry public hearings attest to the unpopularity of the project, which is uncomfortably close to schools and neighborhoods.
