Lobbyist William Delahunt, a former Congressman, is helping the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe scout casino sites.
Delahunt has been working for the tribe since early 2011. He met with the mayor of Taunton to discuss putting a casino there, The Brockton Enterprise reported. Talks, however, are preliminary and the tribe has been looking at a number of locations for a casino. Under the state's gaming law, the tribe has until July 31 to find a gaming site and schedule a referendum in the host community. Get the Story:
