Ted O’Dell of the Lansing Jobs Coalition is still gathering signatures to put an off-reservation casino on the ballot in Lansing, Michigan.
O’Dell hopes to gather more than 4,000 signatures. If he's successful, the issue will be on the August 2 primary ballot. "My whole goal from the start was simply to put the whole idea before the voting public of Lansing and let them decide if they want a casino in their town,” O’Dell told The Lansing State News.
