No new COVID-19 cases have been detected at Kewa Pueblo<\/a> in New Mexico, according to the tribe’s health corporation.<\/p>\n

As of August 18, 2020, a total of 83 community members have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. That’s unchanged from the last time the Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation<\/a>\u00a0 shared data on August 10<\/a>.<\/p>\n

About 2,400 people live at Kewa,\u00a0according to the U.S. Census Bureau<\/a>, though the state of New Mexico puts the\u00a0population at more than 3,100<\/a>. Based on data shared by the tribal health corporation, almost everyone in the community has been tested as of August 18.<\/p>\n

Kewa is located in Sandoval County, where a large number of COVID-19 cases have been reported in two additional tribal communities. The Pueblo of San Felipe and the Pueblo of Zia have each seen more than 100 cases,\u00a0according to the New Mexico Department of Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n
