Please contact\u00a0VaRene Martin<\/a> or Dustin VanWinkle<\/a> for more information<\/p>\n The\u00a0Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee<\/a>\u00a0(\u201cTTAC\u201d) Subcommittee on General Welfare Exclusion (\u201cGWE Subcommittee\u201d) is seeking input from Tribal governments and stakeholders before making recommendations to the TTAC on guidance under the Tribal General Welfare Exclusion Act (\u201cTGWEA\u201d) and the Internal Revenue Code Section 139E.<\/p>\n To support this tribal engagement, the GWE Subcommittee is transmitting a solicitation letter,\u00a0accessible here<\/a>, and requesting input by\u00a0September 14, 2020 at 5:00pm EDT<\/u><\/strong>. We’ll be releasing an update that allows users to purchase and manage their job submissions from a registered account.<\/p>\n On August 4, the Federal Reserve hosted a webinar providing an overview of the Main Street Lending Program’s applicability for Tribal Businesses. The session covered terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements, and focused in particular on issues of interest to tribal businesses, including the waiver of CARES Act restrictions relating to dividend distributions made by tribal businesses to tribal governments. Materials from the webinar can be accessed here.<\/p>\n Additionally, on August 5, NAFOA hosted a webinar with the U.S. Department of Treasury Office of the Inspector General to provide an overview of the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) reporting requirements. The webinar was related to updated guidance slated to be issued on July 31, 2020.
