IFS disseminating organizations and tribes can request access to data collected from the survey to be helpful to their future work.<\/p>\n<p>The goals of the 2020 Indigenous Futures Survey are to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Identify Native people and tribal communities\u2019 priorities for changing narratives about Natives and building a more equitable future, especially in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic;<\/li>\n<li>Explore the experiences and attitudes toward federal, local and tribal governance and engagement in democratic processes.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate how to engage tribal and Native communities to promote shifts in the public discourse and point the way to collective actions and democratic engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To participate in the IFP survey dissemination, or have questions regarding the survey, please email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:indigenousfuture@aspeninstitute.org?subject=Indigenous%20Futures%20Survey%20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>indigenousfuture@aspeninstitute.org<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0or call (202) 736-2905.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"null\">3. <em>MEMBER TRIBES:<\/em><\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"null\">LISTEN TO THE STORY OF YOCHA DEHE WINTUN NATION&#8217;S\u00a0S\u00c9KA HILLS<\/h2>\n<p>The Intertribal Agriculture Council Podcast,\u00a0&#8220;Resiliency Through Agriculture,&#8221; featured\u00a0Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation&#8217;s tribal enterprise\u00a0S\u00e9ka Hills. In native Patwin language, \u2018S\u00e9ka\u2019 means \u2018blue,\u2019 and in selecting S\u00e9ka Hills as the name for their line of premium tribal products, they honor the blue hills that overlook our homeland in Northern California\u2019s Capay Valley. Today, with more than 17,000 total acres in production, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation owns one of the most diverse farming operations in Yolo County and is one of a few tribes with expanding agriculture in California.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/resiliencythroughagriculture.podbean.com\/e\/2020-intertribal-food-summit-seka-hills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Listen to the podcast.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"null\">4.\u00a0 <em>POLICY WATCH:<\/em><br \/>\nDRAFT COVID-19 STIMULUS PACKAGE\u00a0EXPECTED SOON<\/h2>\n<p>Over the weekend, Secretary Mnuchin and Chief of Staff Meadows finalized a coronavirus relief package with Senate Republicans with Mnuchin claiming \u201cWe do have an entire plan,\u201d and that \u201cThe administration and the Senate Republicans are completely on the same page.&#8221; The draft legislation is expected to be released as soon as today.<\/p>\n<p>Key issues emerging as defining points for negotiations include the appropriate level of unemployment assistance and liability protection for employers. The draft is also expected to contain another round of $1,200 stimulus payments for individuals and a continued moratorium on evictions.
