Mnuchin<\/em> at 9:30am Eastern on June 15, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The tribal plaintiffs are seeking a court order forcing the Trump administration to distribute the money remaining in the $8 billion coronavirus relief fund by an &#8220;immediate and definitive date.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A decision has not been made on their <a href=\"https:\/\/indianz.com\/covid19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/aguacalientevmnuchin060520.pdf\">renewed motion<\/a> although the judge assigned to the case previously <a href=\"https:\/\/indianz.com\/covid19\/?p=4723\">declined to enter a preliminary inunction<\/a> against the Department of the Treasury.<\/p>\n<p>Treasury on June 12 <a href=\"https:\/\/indianz.com\/covid19\/?p=6399\">announced it was distributing a second round<\/a> from the coronavirus relief fund. But instead of the $3.2 billion as promised, <a href=\"https:\/\/indianz.com\/covid19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/treasury061220.pdf\">$679 million is being withheld<\/a> by the Trump administration out of concerns that it might have underpaid tribes from the first round of payments as a result of a lawsuit known as <em>Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation v. Mnuchin<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianz.com\/News\/2020\/05\/07\/coronavirus-relief-funds-finally-going-o.asp\">first round went out<\/a> in early May. It consisted of $4.8 billion in payments, though a portion is being <a href=\"https:\/\/indianz.com\/covid19\/?p=6336\">withheld from Alaska Native corporations<\/a> pending litigation on their eligibility to receive the funds. The litigation is known as <em>Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation v. Mnuchin<\/em><em>, Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe v. Mnuchin&nbsp;<\/em>and<em>Ute Indian Tribe of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation v.
