Mehta requested the update from the Department of the Treasury earlier on May 26, 2020. It did not contain much information, beyond that which had already been provided to the court and to tribes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Pursuant to the Court\u2019s May 19, 2020, Minute Order, Defendant hereby offers this supplemental status report on its progress toward paying the remaining $3.2 billion of the $8 billion set aside for Tribal governments under Title V of the CARES Act,&#8221; the <a href=\"https:\/\/indianz.com\/covid19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/04517840632.pdf\">two-paragraph update<\/a> began.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>&#8220;Defendant is implementing the plan that it previously articulated to the Court. Consistent with that plan, the portal is now open for Tribal governments to submit their data,&#8221; the report reads. &#8220;The Tribal governments were notified by email, with a link to the portal.
