If additional steps &#8212; &nbsp;beyond the ones provided at the courthouse link below &#8212; need to taken regarding public participation, Indianz.Com will provide another update.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A video conference hearing is scheduled in the CARES Act lawsuit on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at 2pm Eastern.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Amit P. Mehta ordered the hearing after six tribes &#8212; including 3 in Alaska &#8212; sued the Trump administration. They are seeking an injunction barring the Department of the Treasury from distributing any portion of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianz.com\/News\/2020\/04\/17\/alaska-native-corporations-outpace-indian-country.asp\">$8 billion coronavirus relief fund<\/a> to Native corporations in Alaska.<\/p>\n<p>Treasury has said it will start distributing the funds as soon as April 24.
