The Indian Health Service has updated its coronavirus testing data<\/a>, reflecting results as of 7pm Eastern on April 1, 2020.<\/p>\n According to the data, a total of 4,667 people have been tested for the coronavirus. Of those, 268 tested positive for COVID-19, representing another big increase from the 210 previously reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n Another 3,179 people have tested negative, according to the IHS. Results from 1,220 tests are pending.<\/p>\n The Navajo Area continues to represent the bulk of COVID-19 cases. The IHS counts 176 COVID-19 cases as of April 1. The Navajo Nation reports 214<\/a> \u2014 a higher number that is based on more recent data.<\/p>\n Most other areas are showing small increases in positive results. The Tucson Area saw its first case, according to the data. The Alaska has gone up to 5 cases while the Oklahoma City has gone up to 19 cases.<\/p>\n “Data is reported from IHS, tribal, and urban Indian organization facilities, though reporting by tribal and urban programs is voluntary,” the agency says on its website. “This is a rapidly evolving situation and the IHS will provide updated information as it becomes available and is verified.”<\/p>\n
