March 2020 Issue of Squol Quol.<\/p><\/div>\n

The first page of the March 2020 issue of Squol Quol, the Lummi Nation’s newspaper, shows how hard the tribe has been hit by the coronavirus.<\/p>\n

In less than three weeks, the tribe went from zero COVID-19 cases to 17. Of those, nine live on the reservation,  according to Squol Quol.<\/p>\n

With more than 5,000 citizens, the tribe is the third largest in Washington. The state was among the earliest known outbreaks of the coronavirus in the U.S.<\/p>\n
