Photo: Navajo Nation Office of President and Vice President<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The&nbsp;Navajo Nation&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Office of the President and Vice President<\/p>\n<p><strong>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong><br \/>\nOctober 27, 2022<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Over one-week period, 280 new cases and five deaths related to COVID-19&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>reported, 34 communities identified with high COVID-19 transmission<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>WINDOW ROCK, Arizona<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;\u2013<\/strong>&nbsp;On Thursday, the Navajo Department of Health, in coordination with the Navajo Epidemiology Center and the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, reported 280 new COVID-19 cases for the Navajo Nation and five recent deaths over a one-week period from October 21 \u2013 27, 2022. The total number of deaths is now 1,932. 611,395 COVID-19 tests have been administered. Together, we can prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in our communities,\u201d said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health care facilities on the Navajo&nbsp;Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines.
