75 new cases and two deaths related to COVID-19 reported<\/strong><\/h2>\n

WINDOW ROCK, Arizona <\/strong>\u2013 On Wednesday, the Navajo Department of Health, in coordination with the Navajo Epidemiology Center and the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, reported 75 new COVID-19 Cases for the Navajo Nation and two recent deaths. The total number of deaths is now 1,929. 607,449 COVID-19 tests have been administered. The overall total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 75,396 including 32 delayed reported cases. A new case is defined as a positive test within the last 72-hours. Some cases are due to delayed reporting from the states. Any positive tests from beyond the last 72-hours are considered delayed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe continue to thank our health care professionals, who help us reduce our chances of getting COVID-19, but it\u2019s ultimately our choice to follow their recommendations. We all have to do our part to lessen the risks and the spread of this virus among our families and communities. We are in this together and we will continue to overcome this pandemic one day at a time through our prayers and awareness,\u201d said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.<\/p>\n

Health care facilities on the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots. If you would like to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines or a booster shot, please contact your health care provider and schedule an appointment.<\/p>\n
