Photo by Indianz.Com (<a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-nc-sa\/4.0\/\">CC BY-NC-SA 4.0<\/a>)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The&nbsp;Navajo Nation&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Office of the President and Vice President<\/p>\n<p><strong>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">October 3, 2022<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Over three-day period, 33 new cases and three deaths related to <\/strong><strong>COVID-19 reported, 25 communities identified with uncontrolled spread<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>WINDOW ROCK, Arizona <\/strong>\u2013 On Monday, the Navajo Department of Health, in coordination with the Navajo Epidemiology Center and the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, reported 33 new COVID-19 cases for the Navajo Nation and three deaths over a three-day period from Oct. 1-3. The total number of deaths is now 1,914. 600,785 COVID-19 tests have been administered. It\u2019s our personal responsibility to take precautions to help protect ourselves and our loved ones, so please encourage your family members and friends to be safe especially in public places. We are in this together and we will overcome COVID-19 just as our ancestors overcame many adversities in the past,\u201d said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.<\/p>\n<p>Health care facilities on the Navajo&nbsp;Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots.
