Over three-day period, 16 new cases and no deaths related to <\/strong>COVID-19 reported, 27 communities identified with uncontrolled spread<\/strong><\/h2>\n

WINDOW ROCK, Arizona <\/strong>\u2013 On Monday, the Navajo Department of Health, in coordination with the Navajo Epidemiology Center and the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, reported 16 new COVID-19 cases for the Navajo Nation and no deaths over a three-day period from Sept. 24-26. The total number of deaths remains 1,902. 598,626 COVID-19 tests have been administered. The overall total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 73,971, including three delayed reported cases.<\/p>\n

Based on cases from Sept. 9 \u2013 22, 2022, the Navajo Department of Health issued a Health Advisory Notice for the following 27 communities due to uncontrolled spread of COVID-19:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health care facilities on the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines. If you would like to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines, please contact your health care provider and schedule an appointment.<\/p>\n
