Over four-day period, 13 new cases and four deaths related to <\/strong>COVID-19 reported, 45 communities identified with uncontrolled spread<\/strong><\/h2>\n

WINDOW ROCK, Ariz.<\/strong> \u2013<\/strong> On Tuesday, the Navajo Department of Health, in coordination with the Navajo Epidemiology Center and the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, reported 13 new COVID-19 cases for the Navajo Nation and four deaths over a four-day period from September 3 – 6. The total number of deaths is now 1,891. 590,605 COVID-19 tests have been administered. The overall total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 72,720, including 190 delayed reported cases.<\/p>\n

Based on cases from August 19 \u2013 September 1, 2022, the Navajo Department of Health issued a Health Advisory Notice for the following 45 communities due to uncontrolled spread of COVID-19:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s keep each other safe this week,\u201d said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.<\/p>\n

Health care facilities on the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines. If you would like to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines, please contact your health care provider and schedule an appointment.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you or someone in your household feels sick or has symptoms related to COVID-19, you are strongly urged to isolate and get tested as soon as possible. We all have to do our part to lessen the spread of COVID-19 in our homes and communities. Please be safe and continue to pray for our Nation,\u201d said Vice President Myron Lizer.<\/p>\n
