Image: <a href=\"\/m.asp?url=https:\/\/newsdesk.si.edu\/photos\/national-native-american-veterans-memorial-0\">Skyline Ink, courtesy of the National Museum of the American Indian<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Construction of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianz.com\/News\/2018\/06\/26\/design-selected-for-memorial-to-native-v.asp\">National Native American Veterans Memorial<\/a> in Washington, D.C., continues, according to Kevin Gover, the director of the National Museum of the American Indian.<\/p>\n<p>Gover, a citizen of the Pawnee Nation, shared photos of ongoing work at the site on March 30, 2020.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As you can see, the workers are properly social distancing,&#8221; Gover wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kevin.gover\/posts\/10217020215440421\">post on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The National Native American Veterans Memorial is due to open by Veterans Day in November 2020. It&#8217;s located on the grounds of the National Museum of the American Indian on the National Mall.<\/p>\n<p>Harvey&nbsp;Pratt, a citizen of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianz.com\/News\/2018\/08\/30\/cheyenne-and-arapaho-veteran-lands-big-a.asp\">won the design competition for the National Native American Veterans Memorial<\/a>.
