Photo: Navajo Nation Office of President and Vice President<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The&nbsp;Navajo Nation&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Office of the President and Vice President<\/p>\n<p><strong>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">August 11, 2022<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>127 new cases and no deaths related to COVID-19 reported<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>WINDOW ROCK, Arizona <\/strong>\u2013&nbsp;On Thursday, the Navajo Department of Health, in coordination with the Navajo Epidemiology Center and the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, reported 127 new COVID-19 cases for the Navajo Nation and no recent deaths.&nbsp;The total number of deaths remains at 1,871. 575,118 COVID-19 tests have been administered.<\/p>\n<p>The overall total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 62,817, including 34 delayed reported cases.&nbsp;A new case is defined as a positive test within the last 72-hours. Some cases are due to delayed reporting from the states. Any positive tests from beyond the last 72-hours are considered delayed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Navajo Nation remains in \u201cyellow status,\u201d in accordance with Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-004 available online at:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndoh.navajo-nsn.gov\/COVID-19\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.ndoh.navajo-nsn.gov\/COVID-19&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1660412239580000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0DyLWQK5_pzZUR7HR2ZjKG\">https:\/\/www.ndoh.navajo-nsn.gov\/COVID-19<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to be very careful with the spread of COVID-19 and now the spread of Monkeypox throughout the country. We strongly advise everyone to stay informed and to help inform your loved ones of new developments regarding Monkeypox. Awareness and prevention are key to protect ourselves and others,\u201d said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.<\/p>\n<p>Health care facilities on the Navajo&nbsp;Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines.
