Photo: Navajo Nation Office of President and Vice President<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The&nbsp;Navajo Nation&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Office of the President and Vice President<\/p>\n<p><strong>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">August 8, 2022<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Over three-day period, 214 new cases and no deaths related&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>to COVID-19, 69 communities identified with uncontrolled spread<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>WINDOW ROCK, Arizona <\/strong>\u2013&nbsp;On Monday, the Navajo Department of Health, in coordination with the Navajo Epidemiology Center and the NavajoArea Indian Health Service, reported 214 new COVID-19 cases for the Navajo Nation and no deaths over a three-day period from August 6-8. The total number of deaths remains 1,866. 572,694 COVID-19 tests have been administered. The overall total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 62,080, including one delayed reported case.<\/p>\n<p>The Navajo Nation remains in \u201cyellow status,\u201d in accordance with Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-004 available online at:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndoh.navajo-nsn.gov\/COVID-19\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.ndoh.navajo-nsn.gov\/COVID-19&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1660104550375000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1OIJ1zo4sK4b4vWp4Pwy1t\">https:\/\/www.ndoh.navajo-nsn.gov\/COVID-19<\/a>.
