Photo: Navajo Nation Office of President and Vice President<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The&nbsp;Navajo Nation&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Office of the President and Vice President<\/p>\n<p><strong>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong><br \/>\nJuly 14, 2022<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>101 new cases and no deaths related to COVID-19 reported<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>WINDOW ROCK, Arizona <\/strong>\u2013 On Thursday, the Navajo Department of Health, in coordination with the Navajo Epidemiology Center and the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, reported 101 new COVID-19 cases for the Navajo Nation and no deaths. The total number of deaths remains 1,836., including one delayed reported death. 558,517 COVID-19 tests have been administered.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The overall total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 58,637, including five delayed reported cases. A new case is defined as a positive test within the last 72-hours. Some cases are due to delayed reporting from the states. Any positive tests from beyond the last 72-hours are considered delayed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Navajo Nation remains in \u201cyellow status,\u201d in accordance with Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-004 available online at:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndoh.navajo-nsn.gov\/COVID-19\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.ndoh.navajo-nsn.gov\/COVID-19&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1657926811060000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0y09xBgdVBKjydQH_3KEmT\">https:\/\/www.ndoh.navajo-nsn.gov\/COVID-19<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhen the pandemic began, we didn\u2019t have PPEs and the vaccines to protect us from severe illness. We didn\u2019t know much about COVID-19, but thanks to the research of scientists and guidance from our public health experts we know how to protect ourselves and how to lessen the spread of the virus. The choices we make as individuals ultimately determine the numbers of new infections. We have to keep our guard up and keep pushing back on COVID-19 together,\u201d said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health care facilities on the Navajo&nbsp;Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines.
