The National Indian Health Board<\/a> (NIHB) will be convening a virtual discussion session on June 22, 2022, on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s<\/a> (CDC) COVID-19 Staffing Guidance. This session focuses on improving the clinical work environment to attract and retain public health professionals during an emerging or re-emerging infectious disease outbreak.<\/p>\nStaff shortages have been a primary challenge in managing patient surges during the COVID-19 pandemic and other disasters. This session will discuss how staffing challenges arise in Tribal healthcare settings and how they can address staff shortages.<\/div>\n\nBy the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:<\/div>\n\n
