The safest place to be is at home here on the NavajoNation. Our case numbers have been very high recently, but the number of hospitalizations has not surged and the numbers of deaths has remained low. This shows that the COVID-19 vaccines are highly-effective and that they are saving lives. Everyone must take extra precautions such as wearing two masks in public, getting fully vaccinated and a booster shot, limiting travel, staying home as much as possible, and avoiding gatherings where people let their guard down,” said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.

Health care facilities on the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines. If you would like to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines, please contact your health care provider and schedule an appointment.

“The Omicron variant is impacting everyone around the world and here on the Navajo Nation.
