The total number of deaths is now 1,442. The report indicates that 32,009 individuals have recovered from COVID-19. 334,605 COVID-19 tests have been administered. The overall total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 33,780.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Navajo&nbsp;Nation COVID-19 positive cases by Service Unit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chinle Service Unit: 6,146<\/li>\n<li>Crownpoint Service Unit: 3,304<\/li>\n<li>Ft. Defiance Service Unit: 4,005<\/li>\n<li>Gallup Service Unit: 5,367<\/li>\n<li>Kayenta Service Unit: 2,958<\/li>\n<li>Shiprock Service Unit: 5,728<\/li>\n<li>Tuba City Service Unit: 4,136<\/li>\n<li>Winslow Service Unit: 2,117<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* 19 residences with COVID-19 positive cases are not specific enough to place them accurately in a Service Unit.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the state of Arizona reported 2,579 new cases.&nbsp;Utah and New Mexico will report weekend case numbers on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve come a long way in this COVID-19 pandemic. It\u2019s been nearly 19 months since the first case of COVID-19 was confirmed on the Navajo Nation. Since then, our frontline warriors continue to fight for all us each and every day. They have given us the guidance and resources to protect ourselves and others. It\u2019s our responsibility to follow their guidance and continue to wear masks in public, to get full vaccinated, and continue to take safety measures. We are in this together, so please remain strong and continue to pray for our people and all of those who are fighting COVID-19 at this moment,\u201d said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.<\/p>\n<p>Health care facilities across the Navajo&nbsp;Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines.
