The total number of deaths remains 1,334 as previously reported. Reports indicate that 29,518 individuals have recovered from COVID-19. 277,172 COVID-19 tests have been administered. The total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 30,914.<\/p>\n<p>Navajo&nbsp;Nation COVID-19 positive cases by Service Unit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chinle Service Unit: 5,613<\/li>\n<li>Crownpoint Service Unit: 2,971<\/li>\n<li>Ft. Defiance Service Unit: 3,671<\/li>\n<li>Gallup Service Unit: 4,903<\/li>\n<li>Kayenta Service Unit: 2,740<\/li>\n<li>Shiprock Service Unit: 5,252<\/li>\n<li>Tuba City Service Unit: 3,756<\/li>\n<li>Winslow Service Unit: 1,989<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* 19 residences with COVID-19 positive cases are not specific enough to place them accurately in a Service Unit.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the state of Arizona reported 422 new cases, Utah reported 266, and New Mexico reported 130 cases.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKeeping taking precautions and be very careful if you have to travel. We have to be mindful that we are still in this pandemic and that COVID-19 is still in our communities. Wear a mask in public and please get vaccinated, so that we can continue to recover from this pandemic. This weekend, there are opportunities to receive the vaccine in several areas, so please help to inform your loved ones. We are in this together and community immunity is our goal,\u201d said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.<\/p>\n<p>Health care facilities across the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines during drive-thru events or by appointment. If you would like to receive the vaccine, please contact your&nbsp;health care provider for more information for your Service Unit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you to all of our health care workers and everyone who supports COVID-19 patients and helps to save lives. We have to do more to get more of our Navajo people fully vaccinated, so that we can overcome this virus and move forward.
