The county is home to most of Lumbee territory in North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>In comparison, Locklear said about half of the adult population in the state has been vaccinated for COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&nbsp;have a long ways to go to catch up to&nbsp;the state average of people vaccinated,&#8221; Locklear said in the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/hbEGhKxx8GY\">video<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Godwin agreed.
