“COVID-19 remains a priority for the Navajo Nation as we continue relying on the guidance of our public health experts as we move forward. Case numbers are low at the moment, but we have to be cautious and prepared in the event that another variant begins to spread. Our mitigation efforts were successful in minimizing hospitalizations during the recent Omicron surge, and a large part of that success was due to our high vaccination rate on the Navajo Nation. We continue to urge our citizens to get fully vaccinated including a booster shot and to continue wearing masks in public places,” said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.

Health care facilities on the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines. If you would like to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines, please contact your health care provider and schedule an appointment.

“Our faith and prayers continue to carry us through this pandemic. Our health experts and frontline warriors continue to do a tremendous job guiding us through these challenging times and saving lives. We truly appreciate their dedication and sacrifices. Please be safe, take precautions, and keep praying for our people,” said Vice President Myron Lizer.
