“Navajo people are strong and we know what we have to do to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our homes and our communities. Our health experts continue to provide us with the guidance and resources, but we have to act on it and do everything possible to ensure our health and safety. If you have to go into public places, wear two masks, use hand sanitizer, and do your best to avoid person-to-person contact. Get vaccinated and get your booster shot, our health facilities have made them widely available to all eligible individuals. We have to keep fighting hard and keep our guard up at all times. Just as our elders have told us many times before, the safest place to be is at home,” said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.
Health care facilities on the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines. If you would like to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines, please contact your health care provider and schedule an appointment.
“If you’re sick, please stay home, isolate yourself, and take precautions as you get tested. If you are required to travel for urgent personal matters, please be very cautious and take extra precautions. We are in this together and we must continue to support one another and keep praying for our people, our frontline workers, and those who are fighting the virus,” said Vice President Myron Lizer.
