“Wear a mask, minimize travel, get fully vaccinated, get a booster shot if you are already fully vaccinated, and continue to pray for our people and frontline warriors. COVID-19 infections continue to increase in regions and nearby cities, so we have to be very careful if traveling off the Navajo Nation where COVID-19 restrictions and protocols are minimal or non-existent. There are opportunities to get the vaccines in several locations this weekend including Pinehill, N.M., Shiprock, and Chinle. We have to remain strong and continue to support one another,” said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.
Health care facilities across the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines. If you would like to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines, please contact your health care provider and schedule an appointment.
“The Delta variant continues to spread in many areas throughout the country and here on the Navajo Nation. Our frontline workers are doing their best to help people and to save lives, but we also have to do our part. Please keep praying and taking precautions, especially if you must travel,” said Vice President Myron Lizer.
