Tribe’s EOC Continues to Report Zero COVID-19 Cases
AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center is continuing to report no new cases, no active cases, and no individuals in quarantine under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. Once more, we extend a huge appreciation to the Akwesasne community for following all the protective measures that remain in place. No reported cases is an indication that what you are doing is working, so please wear a mask in public indoor spaces, practice social distancing, and wash hand often.

COVID-19 PCR TEST COLLECTION CLINICS
Saint Regis Mohawk Health Services is conducting COVID-19 PCR Test Collection Clinics daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., or while test kits last, at their main campus located at 404 State Route 37 in Akwesasne, NY. Please utilize the new road located across from McGee Road. The drive-thru format is open for all community members and employees of the Tribe, Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, Akwesasne businesses, and local school districts.
INDOOR MASK REQUIREMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT
Regardless of vaccination status, individuals are still required to wear a mask in all public indoor places within the Tribe’s jurisdiction, including at local businesses and workplaces. Until more community members get vaccinated, people are still encouraged to wear masks when social distancing is not possible, as it is an important safety measure to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Wearing a mask also helps protect those who cannot receive the vaccine due to age or health condition, as well as practicing social distancing, and washing your hands frequently with soap and water or using hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
If you have a non-emergency matter, please call the Emergency Operations Center at (518) 320-0019; Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
