A growing number of people in Donald Trump’s inner circle have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

The list includes aides at the White House, as well as prominent Republicans who have been in close contact with the president in the last 14 days or so.

Trump announced his positive diagnosis in a post on social media early at 12:54am on October 2. He had received the diagnosis on evening prior, according to an October 1 memo from Dr. Sean Conley, the president’s physician.

Later on October 2, Trump was hospitalized at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He was taken to the facility via helicopter. The center is about a 30-minute drive from the White House.

Trump left the hospital on the evening of October 5.
