Is a once celebrated Native author trying to make a comeback, hoping the focus on the COVID-19 epidemic will overshadow unresolved allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct?
A panel of Native women will discuss the issue on an Indianz.Com broadcast at 7:30pm Central on April 30, 2020. Speakers include:
- Jacqueline Keeler (Diné / Ihanktonwan Dakota), a journalist, author and editor-in-chief of Pollen Nation Magazine.
- Ashley Nicole McRay (Absentee Shawnee / Lakota), a grassroots organizer whose work centers around policy, environment, and tribal issues, including missing and murdered Indigenous women.
- Emily Washines (Yakama), a scholar and founder of Native Friends, a website focusing on history and culture.
Kevin Abourezk (Lakota) will host the broadcast on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/indianzcom
