The Indian Health Service has updated its coronavirus data, reflecting results as of 11:59pm Eastern on April 22, 2020.
According to the data, 22,258 tests have been administered within the IHS system. Of those, 2,322 have returned positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. The number reflects an 9.3 percent increase from the 2,124 cases previously reported.
“Data is reported from IHS, tribal, and urban Indian organization facilities, though reporting by tribal and urban programs is voluntary,” the IHS states on its website.
