The Navajo Nation hosted a virtual town hall on March 29, 2020. President Jonathan Nez reminded citizens to abide by a ban on mass gatherings on the largest reservation in the United States.
“You can be held liable” for spreading the coronavirus, Nez said.
A total of 115 tribal citizens have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. Cases have appeared in all parts of the Navajo Nation — Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.
A curfew is being imposed on the reservation, starting on March 30.
