In a video message on March 25, 2020, Principal Chief David Hill of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation confirmed the first positive COVID-19 case on Creek territory in Oklahoma. He said the tribe’s health department is investigating the incident.
“I want to remind our people that positive tests within our boundaries were expected and, unfortunately, they will continue,” Hill said.
