On March 23, 2020, the Ramah Chapter of the Navajo Nation reported the first positive COVID-19 case in the community.
The Ramah Chapter is located in Cibola County and McKinley County in New Mexico. It’s not contiguous to the reservation but is still a part of the Navajo Nation, where a “stay at home” order is in place in an effort to restrict the spread of the coronavirus.
According to the New Mexico Department of Health, there is 1 COVID-19 case in Cibola County. The person is a woman in her 50s.
