Indigenous Language Institute

I hope this e-Newsletter finds you well.

Indigenous Language Institute (ILI) is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely, and with the most recent official declaration of this status as a “national emergency”, we have postponed two of our major national training workshops that were scheduled for March and April 2020 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

As have been the pattern of past pandemics, this will pass. However, it will pass more quickly if we all take responsibility in taking precautions, personally and collectively.

At ILI, the Board of Directors have approved staff to work remotely from home, March 17 through April 10 following the recommendations from CDC and other reliable sources, to minimize the spread of and potential exposure to the virus. During this time, we are checking our emails regularly and phone voicemails twice or three times a day. You can contact us and we will respond to you.

We will keep you posted about our training workshops that are currently scheduled for June 29 – July 1 (Radisson in Green Bay, WI) and July 20-22 (Isleta Resort in Albuquerque, NM).

We send you all our healing thoughts for your health and safety.

Inée Slaughter
Executive Director, ILI
