Ponca Tribe (Nebraska)

The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska declared a state of emergency on Friday. Tribal Chairman Larry Wright Jr. expressed concern about the great distance between the tribe’s service delivery areas in 15 counties and in 3 states.

“Our staff is working with all three state health organizations and all counties that our service delivery areas are in.  We are in constant contact with IHS and we continue to monitor the CDC updates and recommendations for best practices on how we may best help ourselves,” Wright said.
