News Release: NCUIH Cancels 2020 Conference, Announces Virtual Annual Meeting

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, DC (March 12, 2020) – On March 12, 2020, the National Council of Urban Indian Health (NCUIH) Board of Directors announces the cancellation of the in-person 2020 Conference: New Opportunities in Urban Indian Health from March 24 – 27, 2020 in Washington, DC. The cancellation also applies to pre- and post- conference trainings, with the exception of the events below.

There will be a free short virtual Annual Meeting on the same day the conference would have taken place, March 25, 2020 as well as the elections for the 2020-2022 NCUIH Board.

The National Council of Urban Indian Health has been closely monitoring the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and working with Congress and the Administration on a daily basis to ensure Indian Country is protected and prepared for this public health pandemic. As stewards of health, NCUIH has a responsibility to protect our members, staff, partners and all frontline providers in the community.
