<\/p>\r\nParry is now leading an effort to build a Shoshone interpretive center<\/a> on the land in southwestern Idaho where his ancestors were slaughtered.\r\n

<\/p>\r\n“We need to be able, at the end of the day to reconcile and say, look, tragic events happen and they continue to happen to people in every walk of life today. But how we respond to that will determine our character and who we become,” Parry said on the Reconciliation Rising podcast<\/a>.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nReconciliation Rising is a multimedia project that showcases the lives and work of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in the U.S. who are engaged in honestly confronting painful and traumatic histories, promoting meaningful and respectful dialogue between Natives and non-Natives, and creating pathways to reconciliation. \r\n
