Her confirmation hearing took place on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.banking.senate.gov\/hearings\/01\/21\/2021\/nomination-hearing\">February 28<\/a>.\r\n<P><\/p>\r\n\u201cNative housing is also in a crisis, with far too many families living in substandard and crowded housing conditions on reservations,\u201d Fudge told members of the  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.banking.senate.gov\/\">Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs<\/a>.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nThe committee advanced Fudge&#8217;s nomination by a vote of 17-7 on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.banking.senate.gov\/hearings\/02\/01\/2021\/executive-session-to-consider-nominations\">February 4<\/a>. A final confirmation vote in the  <a href=https:\/\/www.senate.gov\/>U.S. Senate<\/a> has not   taken place.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nBiden has not yet announced his pick for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hud.gov\/program_offices\/public_indian_housing\">Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing<\/a>, the political official who oversees Indian housing at
