FOR TRIBAL LEADERS: <\/em><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"h5-responsive sub\">TRIBAL CONSULTATIONS ON THE TRIBAL BROADBAND CONNECTIVITY GRANTS PROGRAM<\/div>\r\nThe Department of Commerce released a <a href=https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/5fdaa92d88375a474b912b0f3\/files\/ac483279-d1e9-4e72-bcd2-1534a87c6a28\/DTLL_TCGP_NTIA_Feb_2021.pdf>Dear Tribal Leader Letter<\/a> announcing a tribal consultation series on the Tribal Broadband Connectivity Grants Program established by <a href=https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/116th-congress\/house-bill\/133\/text>H.R. 133 The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021<\/a>. The program provides $1 billion in federal grants funding to tribal governments, tribal colleges and universities, tribal organizations, ANCs, and the Department of Hawaiian homelands to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbating the digital divide across Indian Country. \r\n<p><\/p>\r\nThe Act directs the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to make grants available to eligible entities within short time frames.
